Yes. The free tier includes the full oil library (250+ oils), up to 3 blends per day, 3 AI calls per day, community access, routines, oil cabinet, and core caution tools. Optional paid plans unlock unlimited blends, advanced tools, and the Perfumer's Studio.
What platforms is dilutio available on?+
dilutio is available on iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play). Your data syncs across devices when you're signed in.
Do I need to create an account?+
An account is required to save blends, sync across devices, and use community features. You can sign up with email and password, Google sign-in, or a passwordless magic link.
What happens during onboarding?+
When you first open dilutio, you'll go through a brief setup: accept the safety disclaimer, select your scent preferences, verify your age, and review the AI disclosure. It takes about 2 minutes.
Can I use dilutio without an internet connection?+
Your saved blends, oil cabinet inventory, and downloaded routines work offline. AI-powered features (blend generation, smart analysis), community features, and detailed oil library data require an internet connection.
Safety & Disclaimers
How dilutio keeps you safe when working with essential oils.
Is dilutio a substitute for medical advice?+
No. dilutio is for educational and informational purposes only. The AI assistant never makes medical claims — it will never say an oil can "treat", "cure", or "heal" a condition. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider before using essential oils, especially if you are pregnant, nursing, have a medical condition, or are considering use for children.
How does dilutio handle dilution safety?+
dilutio applies demographic-specific dilution guidelines automatically. Adults, children (2-6 years), infants (3-24 months), pregnant individuals, and elderly users each have different safe dilution percentages. Both Blend Lab and Quick Lab show real-time dilution percentages and warn you if you exceed safe limits for your selected demographic.
Does dilutio warn about contraindicated oils?+
Yes. dilutio flags phototoxic oils, pregnancy-unsafe oils, and oils that should be avoided around children or infants (such as peppermint and eucalyptus for infants). The Perfumer's Studio also checks IFRA compliance limits and detects known allergens.
What is Expert Mode?+
Expert Mode unlocks Tier 3 oils — absolutes, CO₂ extracts, and high-potency materials that require more knowledge to use safely. Enabling Expert Mode requires reading and acknowledging the safety guidelines. You can toggle it on or off at any time in Settings.
Is dilutio safe to use around pets and children?+
dilutio lets you set household safety profiles (has children, has pets) in your preferences. When active, oils known to be unsafe for those demographics are flagged automatically, and child-specific dilution ratios are applied to your blends.
AI Assistant (Lutio)
How the AI blending assistant works and what it can do.
How does Lutio work?+
Lutio is your AI blending assistant. It generates educational blend ideas based on your goals and preferences, analyzes formulas for balance and harmony, surfaces dilution and caution reminders, suggests improvements, and recommends complementary oils.
Is Lutio a certified aromatherapist?+
No. Lutio is an AI assistant, not a licensed practitioner. This is clearly disclosed during onboarding. You should independently review all dilution, allergy, child, pet, pregnancy, medication, and sensitive-skin cautions before use.
What data does Lutio use from my conversations?+
AI interactions are processed to generate responses. API prompts and outputs are not used for OpenAI model training by default unless the API customer opts in. You can grant or revoke consent for AI data processing at any time in the Privacy Center.
What are the daily AI limits?+
The free tier includes 3 AI calls per day. Enthusiast and Professional plans get unlimited AI calls. Professional subscribers also receive priority AI processing for faster responses.
What is AI Memory?+
Available on Enthusiast and Professional plans. When enabled, Lutio remembers your scent preferences, past blends, and feedback across sessions — so its recommendations get more personalized over time. You can disable AI Memory at any time in Settings.

Features
What you can do with dilutio's core tools.
How many essential oils are in the library?+
The library includes 250+ essential oils and natural materials. Each oil has detailed profiles covering scent notes, extraction methods, countries of origin, practical cautions, and blending suggestions. Oils are organized by aroma family and searchable by name or category.
What is the difference between Blend Lab and Quick Lab?+
Blend Lab is a 5-step guided flow: choose your domain (home, body, mind, beauty), set a purpose, select a delivery method, pick your preferred aromas, and let the AI generate a custom blend idea. Quick Lab is for rapid, hands-on mixing from oils you already own with real-time dilution percentage tracking and caution notes.
What are Routines?+
Routines are guided aromatherapy sessions. dilutio includes 7 pre-built routines (sleep preparation, focus, stress recovery, morning energize, and more) plus a custom routine builder. Each session includes step-by-step guidance, a built-in timer, and optional ambient soundscapes.
How does the Oil Cabinet work?+
The Oil Cabinet is your personal inventory tracker. Mark oils as Have, Low, Finished, or Wishlist. It integrates directly with Quick Lab — so you can create blends from oils you actually have on hand. It also helps track which oils you need to restock.
Can I export and share my blends?+
You can share blends directly to the community feed where others can like, save, comment, and remix them. Professional subscribers can also export blends as PDF reports — generic blends get a recipe-style document, while Studio blends include radar charts, evolution analysis, sillage scores, cost breakdowns, and compliance data.
Perfumer's Studio
The professional fragrance formulation workspace.
What is the Perfumer's Studio?+
A professional-grade fragrance formulation workspace available on the Professional plan. It features top/heart/base note zones for structured composition, an olfactory sphere visualization, precision drop controls, and automatic fragrance family detection. It's designed for serious fragrance creation beyond simple essential oil blending.
What professional tools does the Studio include?+
The Studio includes molecular odor analysis, wear test simulation (how your fragrance evolves over hours), evolution tracking from opening to dry-down, IFRA compliance checks, allergen detection, real-time cost-per-ml breakdowns, oil substitution suggestions for budget optimization, and accord templates based on classic fragrance structures.
What do the PDF reports contain?+
Studio PDF reports include the full formula with drop counts, a scent profile radar chart, evolution analysis charts, sillage and longevity scores, wear notes, a cost breakdown table, safety data, and a compliance report. Generic blend reports include the recipe, ingredients, dilution information, safety notes, and usage instructions.
Can I start from existing fragrance templates?+
Yes. The Studio offers accord templates based on classic fragrance archetypes — oriental, chypre, fougere, floral, fresh, woody, and more. You can use these as starting points and customize every aspect of the formula.
Account, Privacy & Data
Managing your account, data, and privacy settings.
How does age verification work?+
dilutio requires age verification to comply with COPPA regulations. Users under 13 are blocked from using the app. Direct messaging is additionally restricted for users under 16 for safety.
How do I delete my account?+
Go to Settings > Account > Delete Account and type "DELETE" to confirm. You have a 30-day grace period to change your mind. After 30 days, all personal data is permanently removed. Important: your subscription is not cancelled automatically — you must cancel it separately through the App Store or Google Play before deleting your account.
What are my privacy rights?+
Through the Privacy Center in the app, you can: view and manage your data processing consents, revoke AI data processing consent (which disables AI features), request data export, and delete your account. dilutio never sells your personal data. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.
